As founder and CEO of GGT Development LLC I 2009, Edwin Reed is involved in focused community empowerment and kingdom building. The focus of the organization is to provide a partnership structure that allows for long-term development of community assets. Specifically, GGT Development LLC’s mission is to provide the expertise to implement visions for its partners that will allow for long term community advancement by designing and implementing programs that positively impact spiritually and economically. The focus for Rev. Reed is community empowerment by developing a viable self-sustaining economic base that touches the lives of people in a constructive and compassionate manner. and kingdom builders that fully exhibits the capacity of faith to make a positive constructive difference.
In 2007 he became the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Greater Allen AME Community Development Corporation. In this position, Edwin Reed completed a $20 Million mixed used development of 54 units of affordable housing and 6 commercial stores. In addition, he completed a $35 million re-financing and re-structuring the Allen Senior Housing Complex. Also, Edwin directed a host of community programs including affordable housing, developing and managing about 14 commercial stores, operating a community service center and providing quality education for over 625 students in a structured Christian environment for children Pre-Kindergarten 3 through the 8th grade. Other projects include a senior citizen feeding and recreational center and a residential safe haven for battered women and children.
From 1995 to 2007, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Greater Allen Cathedral of New York located in Jamaica Queens. With annual funds of over $31 million and assets of over $100 million, In 1997, Allen AME Church completed a new Cathedral. Rev. Reed provided construction oversight and financing for the project. New programs initiated by Rev. Reed included a national model of Faith Based Welfare to Work, science program in conjunction with NASA and York College, Abstinence Program, Foster Care placement program and an urban economic redevelopment study of a 15 block mixed-use corridor done in conjunction with the Newman Institute of Baruch College.

Rev. Reed is married to Rev. Mary Smith Reed, M.D. They have been blessed with a son, Elkanah, and two daughters, Adia and Keturah.
