Dennis Dillon is a highly motivated, mission-driven Christian minister who is passionate about the spiritual transformation and the economic and social redemption of his people and global community. He believes that a great spiritual revival is getting ready to break in New York City, and he is committed to being one of its trailblazers.
Divinely chosen to be among the God-appointed men in America whose lives are driven by a firm purpose and an unshakable commitment to live in the will of God, Dillon is deliberate about ministry and his desire to help liberate his race. Beyond his reputation and great acclaim as one of the nation’s leading advocates for the economic empowerment and spiritual transformation of Blacks in America, Rev. Dillon is fast becoming a leading voice on Christian life and lifestyle and the power of affirmation. His new book, “Affirm Your Purpose,” co-authored by Rev. Chermain Lashley, challenges readers to live their best life now and pursue their divine destiny. He is also the author of “Bitter Truth is Better than Sweet Falsehood.”
As the pastor for the new and growing Brooklyn Christian Center, Rev. Dillon is co-pioneering a seeker-friendly church movement that emphasizes God’s great expectation for people to live whole lives and walk in their purpose. A pastor, journalist, urban strategist and community developer, Rev. Dennis Dillon is most passionate about communicating God’s truth. A compelling teacher and preacher of the gospel, Rev. Dillon was twice named among New York’s top twenty-five preachers (all races) by the Daily News and New York Newsday, and in 2006 the New York Daily News named him among the region’s 25 most influential Black leaders in religion, politics and civil rights combined.
Rev. Dennis Dillon is noted for challenging and negotiating with corporations and banking institutions to reinvest hundreds of millions of dollars in the Black community. He has also mediated several discrimination and corporate-community settlements including two of the nation’s largest cases. He sits on the boards of a number of corporate and not-for-profit organizations, and has developed successful concepts and programs that embrace community economic empowerment. As the pioneer and publisher of The New York Christian Times, he has worked to lead one of the largest Black homeownership initiatives in the country, guiding more than ten thousand people to become home owners since 1992. Through the annual Black Church Means Business Conference and his business empowerment initiatives, he has helped thousands of Black businesses gain corporate and government contracts, commercial loans and franchises, as well as other business opportunities. He is also the co-founder of the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to two journalism awards, Rev. Dillon has received more than one hundred awards and citations from national and community organizations as well as corporations.
Rev. Dennis Dillon is the executive producer and host for Easter in New York, an annual television special formerly co-produced and aired on Fox Television, and has hosted a number of television and radio shows. A former reporter and news correspondent, he has written for a number of news publications and magazines. He is the chief researcher and author of the annual report on the “Economic State of Black New York.”
Beyond his great accomplishments in the fields of media, corporate leveraging and negotiations, community and business empowerment, and church ministry, Rev. Dillon’s primary purpose is to communicate Christ’s love to men and women, and to teach them how to apply the word of God to their every day life and lifestyle. As the chief executive minister of the Brooklyn Christian Center, Rev. Dennis Dillon journeys back to the core of his God appointed mission – to save the lost and help the saved take their lives to new heights.
